and
symplectic vortices

Workshop Description:
The focus of the workshop will be on the development of equivariant
Gromov-Witten theory, including the study of moduli spaces of maps to
quotient stacks by reductive groups, and from the symplectic point of
view, moduli spaces of symplectic vortices.
The workshop is organized around this specific direction, with an aim
to bring together researchers in algebraic and symplectic geometry who
have had no previous interaction. On the other hand, the workshop
will promote discussion of the interaction of holomorphic maps, gauge
theory, and group actions more broadly.
A partial
program
is available.

Lodging.
The
CIRM in Luminy is a restored Provencal mansion with a very good
library and conference centre. It is located above the
gorgeous calanques
close
to Marseille and
Cassis.
There are beautiful hikes in the
cliffs, but hiking shoes might be recommended.
The rates for CIRM lodging (for those not supported
by conference funding) are
here .
How to get there: Marseilles - in French
Marseille - has an international airport -- Code : MRS -- as well as
fast train connections to
Paris. Click

Support: A proposal for partial funding of
lodging from CIRM, and a proposal for partial funding of
travel/lodging expenses for US based participants, have been approved.
Registration: Registration is now closed.
