Prerequisites

Before using rcp you must:

1. have an account on the Unix host you want to copy files to and from
2. have a special file called .rhosts in your login directory on the other Unix host

The .rhosts file is a text file that you can create using any text editor.

Each line of the file has the name of a remote host followed by a space and your username on that host.
