Calculus 2 for Biological Sciences
Spring 2001
Math 138 Sections 01, 02, and 03
Homework
Homework will be assigned every lecture (Wednesday & Friday). The complete
list is in the syllabus. Every two weeks
approximately there will be a list of problems to be collected at the beginning
of recitation (see the calendar). The only
way to learn Calculus is by doing Calculus,
that is why homework is a very inportant part of the class, This is where
you actually learn! You should do (at least try to do) all the homework
problems even if they are not collected. Remember that the quizzzes and
the exams will be based on these types of problems.
Grading. Only four problems from the homework will be graded
and those will account for 80%. The remaining 20% will be given according
to the number of problems handed in. Note that if you do not hand in one
of the problems to be graded (chosen at random) you loose 20% of the grade.
Final solutions without showing the corresponding work will NOT
get any credit.
