Exams

A distribution of grades on each problem on the first exam is given below.

Exam 2
Prob. # Scaled Avg.
1 9.93
2 10.00
3 9.11
4 6.74
5 8.82
6 9.41

scatter plot of grades Exam 2 has been graded. The average was 72.11 (out of 80) with a median of 74. The scatter plot shows a comparison of grades on the two exams along with a trend line showing how the score on the first exam predicts the score on the second. Individual grades have been entered in the FAS Gradebook. There is also a list of scaled averages (formed my dividing by the maximum possible score [or base score ] and multiplying by 10) for each problem. Scaling allows easy comparison of the difficulty of problems of different weight, since the maximum score is always 10.
