The Graded Problems in the list below should be handed in at the class meeting on the due date. The Recommended Problems do not have to be handed in, but you are encouraged to work as many of them as possible. When one of the graded problems uses a result from another (ungraded) problem, you may assume the result to be true without furnishing details. Of course, to use the result correctly in your own work you should understand it. Please ask for help when you are stuck on a problem. In addition to being mathematically correct, your write-ups are expected to show a high level of clarity and completeness.
