UNDERGRADUATE COMMON ROOM

The Mathematics Department recently turned ROOM 323 of the HILL CENTER into an UNDERGRADUATE COMMON ROOM. It's basically a nice room with tables, chairs, and computer terminals. It's meant as a place where math majors can come and hang out between classes, discuss mathematics---there's plenty of blackboard space---or work together, or just relax with one of the many cool math books on the shelves. It will also be used for special talks about mathematics or careers in mathematical sciences, as need and interest arise.

The Undergraduate Common Room was officially inaugurated on November 10, and will be open from 9 AM to 4:30 PM on days when classes are in session.
