Introduction to Mathematics at Rutgers 2011

Survey to Introduction to Mathematics at Rutgers 2011

Our IMR has been running in its current format for a number of years now. Considerable effort has been put in by faculty and current students to make it useful to entering graduate students. But we need your feedback to learn to what extent we have achieved our goal, and what kind of modifications are needed to make it really useful to you.

Please take a few minues of your time to complete this survey and return the completed form to Demetria's mailbox. This survey is anonymous.

  1. Did the choice of the topics reflect the agenda that we set for IMR? Namely, to provide a review and fill in gaps in some background expected in standard courses, and to get an idea of the research being done by current students for their dissertations.

  2. From which lectures/activities did you benefit the most? Describe the aspects of these lectures/activities that are most beneficial.

You may refer to http://www.math.rutgers.edu/grad/entering/IMR/IMR_2011.html for a list of our IMR activities. Turn over to continue.

  3. Please provide comments on aspects that you would have done differently to make the lectures/activities more beneficial.

  4. Any additional comments or suggestions.
