Mathematics Department - Graduate Program - Obtaining Transfer Credit

Obtaining Transfer Credit

Mathematics Graduate Program

Requests for transfer credit for courses taken at other universities are handled according to the rules of the Graduate School as detailed on the Application for Transfer of Credits Form.

All requests for transfer of credit must be approved by the Mathematics graduate program director. The decision whether to grant credit for a course taken elsewhere, is based on the best judgement of the program director about whether the course is of comparable and content and level to courses offered within our program. When making such requests, students may be asked to provide supporting details about the course for which credit is being requested, including a summary of course content (or a full syllabus if available), textbook used and chapters covered, and samples of exams (if available).
