Abstract: What happens when we take the graphs we know and love and stick them on the torus? What about the Möbius strip? Or the Klein bottle?? We'll talk about how to embed graphs on "nice" surfaces in a "nice" way and give generalizations to a few familiar theorems about planar graphs. There will be no topology knowledge required. If time permits, we'll also color some stuff!
