Complex Analysis and Geometry Seminar

On holomorphic tangent sequence and total geodesy of complex submanifolds of Hermitian locally symmetric spaces

Sui-Chung NG, East China Normal University

Location:  HILL 705
Date & time: Friday, 05 May 2017 at 10:30AM -

Abstract: The holomorphic tangent sequence of a complex submanifold is an exact sequence of holomorphic vector bundles naturally induced by the tangent bundle and the normal bundle. In this talk, we will look at how the holomorphic tangent sequence (a complex analytic object) is related to the total geodesy (a geometric property) of a complex submanifold inside a Hermitian locally symmetric space.
This is a joint work with N. Mok.
