Mathematical Physics Seminar

Hydrodynamics of integrable quantum systems

Herbert Spohn, Technical University Munich/ Columbia University

Location:  HILL 705
Date & time: Thursday, 14 September 2017 at 12:00PM - 1:00PM

Abstract:   Recently considerable progress has been achieved on the Euler type hydrodynamics for integrable quantum systems, such as the Lieb-Liniger model and the XXZ chain. We discuss some of these results using the one-dimensial system of hard rods as a classical blue print.
