Instructorships at Rutgers University-New Brunswick Mathematics Department

INSTRUCTOR POSITIONS
RUTGERS UNIVERSITY-NEW BRUNSWICK/PISCATAWAY
MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT

Instructorships in the Rutgers-New Brunswick Mathematics Department are one year, non-tenure-track positions, some renewable for up to four years. Candidates must have a Master's degree or Ph.D. and provide evidence of teaching effectiveness. Course load is 12 credit hours per semester.

There are three types of instructorships:

Instructor

Courses taught include mathematics for liberal arts, precalculus, and calculus.

Basic Skills Instructor

Courses taught are primarily, but not limited to, basic algebra and precalculus.

Assistant Instructor

Courses taught include mathematics for liberal arts, precalculus, and basic algebra. Typically 9 credit hours will consist of recitation sections.

Availability of positions for the 2008/2009 academic year is uncertain at the moment, but there is a possibility of a position at each of the three levels above. Applications are welcome. Updated details concerning availability of positions will appear on this page.
