Instructorships in the Rutgers-New Brunswick Mathematics Department are
one year, non-tenure-track positions, some renewable for
up to four years. Candidates must have a Master's degree or Ph.D. and
provide evidence of teaching effectiveness. Course load is 12 credit
hours per semester.
There are three types of instructorships:
- Instructor
- Basic Skills Instructor
- Assistant Instructor
Courses taught include mathematics for liberal arts, precalculus, and calculus.
Courses taught are primarily, but not limited to, basic algebra and precalculus.

Typically 9 credit hours will consist of recitation sections.

Availability of positions in 2012 is uncertain at the moment, but there is a
