Evolutions minimizing crystalline energies

I introduce the so-called crystalline evolutions,
which can be considered as the gradient flow
for a (degenerate) anisotropic perimeter, and I discuss some aspect
of the subject. Many problems concerning the optimal
regularity of the minimizers, as well as existence and uniqueness
for the evolutions, are still open.
