Faculty Research Perspectives

This is an informal weekly seminar held during the spring semester. Each week, a member of the graduate faculty will offer an introduction to an active area of research. The seminar is open to all, and first and second year graduate students are especially encouraged to attend.

Speakers are expected to give a talk which is accessible to graduate students. The paper How to give a good colloquium by John E. McCarthy has some useful guidelines for planning an appropriate talk.
