In Mathematical Careers and Ideas, the mathematics department is offering a series of talks for undergraduates.   "Higher Dimensions and Curved Space" is the next event in this series.

 

Abstract:   "We show how mathematics developed the languages that made it possible to reason with precision about higher dimensions and curved space, so that these languages were available when physicists needed them."
