Welcome to the Department of Mathematics at Rutgers University, part of the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS). The purpose of this page is to provide links to pre-college students with a strong interest in mathematics.

Programs

  • Young Scholars Program in Discrete Mathematics
  • The Rutgers Young Scholars Program in Discrete Mathematics is designed to encourage talented high school students to consider careers in the mathematical sciences.
  • The Gelfand Correspondence Program
  • For students aged 13-17. The Gelfand Correspondence Program in Mathematics (GCPM) is a correspondence program in mathematics at Rutgers University directed by Professors R. Wilson and I. Gelfand.
  • Center for Talented Youth, Johns Hopkins
  • Distance Education. Provides challenging academic courses all year long for eligible students in grades K through 12.
