In the Spring of 2008, I am teaching  Math 492, an undergraduate seminar course, based on the classic text of Hardy, Littlewood and Polya, and a graduate topics course based on the text Optimal Mass Transportation, by Cedric Villani -- a future classic!

I do research in functional analysis and probability, primarily on problems of mathematical physics, especially non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, and on variational problems and related geometric inequalities.
