In 1999, I travelled with the Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra to Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
(No digital camera, but pictures are in my apartment, if you're interested).
In 2000, I travelled with the Port Angeles HS Chamber Orchestra to China where I stayed in the house of a student for a week and then travelled around Beijing.
This is where I discovered that I prefer staying with locals when I travel. (Same comment about pictures)
In 2003, I travelled with the brilliant computational neuro-biologist (and boyfriend at the time) Jeff Gauthier to Spain, Greece, and Italy.
In 2006, I stayed for 3 weeks with my friend Zsuzsi's family in Budapest, Hungary. During that time, we also travelled to Prague together..
In 2008, I visited MSRI friends Emanuel, Sebastian,
and Jakob in Bonn,
as well as former TA Priya in Bonn,
and former TA Teru at Oxford.
I also "stopped by" Paris to check out the impressionistic and post-impressionistic art and where all this art happened. (Paris pictures coming soon).
