Research

My advisor is Dr. Robert Wilson. My main research interest is in noncommutative algebra. More specifically, I am interested in finding the irreducible representations of homogeneous components of algebras associated with directed graphs under the action of their automorphism groups (see here and here). To do this I first find the automorphism group, then calculate the graded trace on the homogeneous components of the algebra, and finally use those generating functions to find the multiplicities of the irreducible representations. This work also has led to a nice class of examples of algebras associated with generalized layered graphs (cited in this paper). One thing that I enjoy about working in this area is that it entails using some representation theory, (algebraic) combinatorics, and generalizations of Koszulity. Another (for fun) interest of mine is the mathematics in other cultures, especially the Incans and Mayans.
