Have you forgotten about functions? Functions are the foundation of calculus and all of modern mathematics, science, engineering and other quantitative disciplines (e.g. economics). To do well in our course you'll need a thorough understanding of functions. An excellently written, brief tutorial on the basics of functions, “The Language of Functions”, is used in Rutgers' pre-calc classes. If you're a bit rusty on functions please review this document as soon as possible. Click here for "The Language of Functions".
