Homework: Homework problems are assigned in the last page of the syllabus. Although homework will not be collected, you are expected to work on all the problems and encouraged to ask questions during office hour about problems with which you have difficulty.

Quizzes: At the end of some classes there will be a short quiz consisting of one or two problems similar to the homework problems. Each quiz is 10 points and 12 quizzes will be given during the semester. The best 10 quiz grades will be counted. That means together the quizzes will count 100 points toward the term grade. There are no made-up quizzes.

Exams: There are one midterm exam and one final exam. The exam time will be announced at least one week in advance.

Attendance: Attendance is not required but expected.
