This is the website for Math 135, sections 1-3, spring 2007. Welcome!
(04/25) Two More Office Hours. Remember that I will only have two more office hours session - the normal one on Mondays (7:20-9pm in HH B7) and an extra one on Tuesday, May 1, from noon to 1:30pm in Hill 606 (Busch Campus).
(04/25) FINAL EXAM INFORMATION. The final exam is Thursday, May 3 from 4-7pm in Scott 123.
(04/25) Final Exam Review Sessions. Click here for information about professor-led review sessions. Click here for information about the televised review.
(04/25) Riemann Sums. Click here for more information on Riemann Sums. Hopefully it will help!
(04/16) Dates to Remember. The final day to turn in the calculus warm-up is during recitation on Wednesday, April 18. I will not accept anything after that. I am discouraged that only 10 people have turned in the so-called "warm-up" so far.
(04/16) Rained out. Due to the inclement weather, there will be no office hours today.
(04/05) No office hours Monday. Since there is an exam on Friday, I will not have office hours the following Monday (April 9).
(04/05) Exam Review Session. As stated in recitation, there will be an exam review today from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in Murray 113. See you there!
(04/05) Calc Warm-Up. Very few of you have turned in the calculus warm-up. The last day you can turn in the warm-up is on April 18. I will not accept it after that date. If you get a 10 on the calc warm-up, your lowest quiz grade will be bumped up to a 10. If you get a 20 on the calc warm-up, your two lowest quiz grades will both be bumped up to a 10.
(03/08) Grade Change Reminders. Remember that if I owe you points on anything, you must e-mail me and inform me, as I do not have my gradebook in recitation. Get your credit - write that e-mail!
(03/08) Quiz 6. I know quiz 6 was a bit difficult for a lot of you, but don't sweat it. I am more focused on questions 1 and 2 anyway. The solutions are below - you should take a look, as it is an interesting problem!
(02/21) Exam Review. I will be holding an exam review on Thursday, February 22 in Millerdoler Hall, room 100, from 7-9pm. The exam is Friday!
(02/19) Make-up Quizzes. Many of you missed class on Wednesday due to the ice storm. If you missed class, you can make up the quiz, but be aware that the burden is on your to find a good time for the both of us to meet. There is no work needed if you are coming to office hours - just show up. If it needs to be at another time, then e-mail me with more than just "Can I make up the quiz?" Start by listing off times during the week that you are free.
(02/06) Solution Fill-in Sheet. Posted below is the official fill-in sheet for the calculus warm-up problems. Starting on February 14, the only solutions accepted will be the ones on this sheet. It should be easier to work with this sheet anyway. Remember: for the most part I am only looking for answers.
(02/02) Limits. As promised in class:
(02/01) Three times three is NINE! The biggest mistake from Quiz 2 was that some people thought 3*3 = 6 . . . these mistakes are not necessary!
(01/28) Office Hours Change (again!). Apologies, but I have to change the office hours again. They will now be from 7:15-9:00pm, still in Hardenbergh B7.
(01/20) Office Hours Change. Please note that I have changed my office hours. They are now Mondays from 6 to 8pm. They will still be in Hardenbergh B7.
