Tips for Success

  • Attend lectures and workshops
  • Practice, practice, practice. Do both the required and suggested homework problems.
  • Read the book. It's a good idea to preview the material before the lecture, and then read it again after the lecture.
  • Keep up with the course material as the course proceeds. Don't wait for the midterms to start learning the material.
  • Make use of office hours.
  • Discuss problems with other students, but also work them independently.
  • Ask questions!
