We will have two midterm exams and a final exam. Calculators cannot be used during exams. The exams are closed book exams. The only formula sheets that can be used on exams are the formula sheets that are included with the exam booklet. These formula sheets will be posted on the course web page.
Each midterm exam is worth 100 points. The final exam is worth 200 points. There will be workshops in recitation and quizzes during lectures. There will also be homework due in recitation. The workshop write-ups are worth 100 points. The quizzes are worth 50 points. The homework is worth 50 points also. Adding the points from exams, workshops, quizzes and homework, we will get a total course score for each student. This total course score is a number between 0 and 600. At the end of the semester, I will set up a curve that assigns a course grade to each total course score.
