This edition of the textbook differs in important ways from previous editions. Unfortunately the older editions won't always have the same problems, so they won't work for this course.

Grading Scheme:
- Workshops: 5/24 ~ 20%
- Assignments: 1/8 ~ 12% - the lowest homework score will be omitted from your total assignment grade.
- Midterm exam I: 1/6 ~ 16%
- Midterm exam II: 1/6 ~ 16%
- Final exam: 1/3 ~ 33%
- Note: percentages are not precise (fractions are). Changes in this scheme are at the discretion of Professor Rodney.
FINAL EXAM - Monday December 17 4pm-7pm in LCB-102 on Livingston Campus
Suggestions on how to study for the final
- Review the formula sheet and memorize what you can so that you don't waste time staring at the formula sheet during the test.
- See the syllabus for which text book problems you can do to study. You should do these problems with the solution manual.
- There are review sessions and general math help available, see the MAIN COURSE WEB PAGE above for times
- John Bryk and I will be holding our regular scheduled office hours until the final exam.
- Some review problems on polar coordinates (these in now way indicate what will be on the final exam)
MIDTERM EXAM 2 - Monday Nov. 26 in class
- The test covers:
- 8.1, 8.2, 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 9.4, 11.1, 11.2, 11.3, 11.4, 11.5, 11.6, 11.7, 11.8, 11.9
- 11.10 up to and including Taylor's inequality.
