Michael Vogelius, Professor of Math
 

Michael Vogelius
Member of the faculty of the Mathematics Department at Rutgers, New Brunswick, since 1989. Prior to that member of the faculty of the Mathematics Department at the University of Maryland, College Park, for seven years. Visiting appointments at Stanford University, Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, and the University of Copenhagen. Research interests lie in the areas of Mathematical Analysis, Partial Differential Equations and Numerical Analysis. Major recent themes have been ``Blow-up associated with non-linear Boundary Conditions", "Scattering Effects of small Inhomogeneities", "Metamaterials/ Cloaking by Mapping", and "naturally occuring Non-scattering Phenomena".
