The Father of Father of the Father of the Mother of the Father of the Father Jane LEGRANGE: Benjamin Davis

Benjamin Davis was most likely bron in Holland but his birth date is unknown to us. He married Sarah Davis (1750- Apr. 10 1835) THeir wedding place and date is also unknown to us.

Michel was a glasscutter for grocer, and segars. His family came to New York on Ju ne 24, 1823.He became a member of Congregation B'nei Jeshurun in 1835. He died of hypertrophy of heart on March 5, 1841 Benjamin was married to Sarah (?-April 10, 1835). Their children were

• Aaron Davids (1781(?)-after 1833), who was a broker.
• Polly Davids ?, who was living in 1833, and who was married to Joel ?
• David Davis (1782-Feb. 12, 1833), who was a broker, and lived at 61 East Broadway St, Manhattan, NY, and was married to Jane Eliza. He is buried at Shearith Israel cemetery, W. 21st, NY.
• Michel (Meir) Davis (England,1787-March 5, 1841) , who was married to Jane [Simcah] Harris. He died at 360 Bowery, Manhattan, NY.
• Solomon Davis (England, 1788-N.Y. Aug. 18, 1855). He was a tailor, and died at 46 Hamersly St., Manhattan, NY. He is buried at Shearith Israel Cemetery, Cypress Hills, lot 2, reg. row, grave 13.
