The Father of the Father of Jane LEGRANGE: Lewis LEGRANCE

Lewis LEGRANGE was born in September of 1884, in New York, New York. On June 1918 he married Rose Gross (Apr. 24 1894- Apr 15 1974) on Long beach NY, NY.She is the daughter of Isador Gross and Ida Freedman.

Lewis was a singer, a whistler and a yodeler. His stage name was Lulu. He sang on radio in upstate New York. He ran away in 1933 during the depresion and became a traveling artist. Due to this his deathdate is unknown. His children are:

• Edith Jane Legrange (Apr. 27 1919- Apr. 11 1924)
• Vivian Victoria LeGrange Cohn (June 9, 1920 in Bronx, NY. - Oct 16, 1981 Schenectady, NY. ) She was married to Fred A Cohn. They married on 15 Feb 1947. Fred was born in NY, NY on 19 Feb 1923 and died on 25 Dec 1987 in Schenectady, NY. Fred and Vivian had two children.
  • Howard Ian Cohn was born in Albany on 10 Nov 1947 and currently resides in Schenectady, NY.
  • Gina Joan Cohn (Lockard) who was born in Schenectady, NY on 7 Feb 1960 and currently resides in Jacksonville, AR.
• Herbert Alfred Legrange (May. 14 1923- Mar.22 1990)
• Winnifred Bernice Legrange Ehrens (b.June 3 1925)
