Heinrich Zeilberger was born on Sept. 21, 1886. He grew up in Ermershausen, a small town in Bavaria, Germany, and was a teacher, who was training to be a cantor. In 1914, he married Hedwig Bach Zeilberger (1890-1975), and they lived in St. Ingbert, Bavaria.
He was drafted to the German army shortly after, serving in the 8th Bavarian Infantry Regiment 25, and was killed on Oct 6, 1915, more than two months before his son Yehuda Heinz Zeilberger (see http://www.math.rutgers.edu/~zeilberg/family/yehuda.html) (1915-1994) was born.
His wife was Hedwig Bach Zeilberger (1890-1975)
His only son was: Yehuda Heinz Zeilberger (1915-1993).
