When Hitler came to power, in 1933, the Nazis had
their revenge, and Leo and Heinrich were badly

I would like to express many thanks to Mrs. Cordula
Kappner, director of the Landkreis Hassberge Library,
for her extremely generous help in supplying
much of the information concerning Ermerhausen in this page.
I also like to thank Marilyn Zeilberger for sending
me, back in 1993, extensive information about the descendants of
Karl Zeilberger, and to Marilyn's daughter, Helen Zeilberger
(my third cousin),
for an update (Dec. 24, 1999).
I also wish to thank (May 2, 2000), Liz Friedman, for updates
and more information on Leo Zeilberger and his family.
[Liz is married to the nephew of Arie Rotman,
and has a daughter whose name is the same as my youngest daughter:
Hadas].
I also wish to thank my father's first-cousin, Bertel Zeilberger
Schloss for many corrections.
