This is a transcript of a talk I gave at Georgia Tech, on Oct. 1, 2004. It heeds the advice given by Narrative guru Apostolos Doxiadis, in his beautiful essay Embedding Mathematics in the soul: narrative as a force in mathematical education, and is dedicated to him. It is an attempt to show that math and what Doxiadis calls paramath do not have to be mutually exclusive, and that narrative can be a powerful tool for transmitting brand-new mathematical proofs (and ideas!).
