i trust Joe Gillis was aware of your esteem for him

p.s.  i do not know if you have considered (or intend)
publishing the text of your tribute to Joe Gillis anywhere.
the SIAM Discrete Math special interest group would be -- in my opinion--
interested in carrying it in its Newsletter
(Ed Scheinerman is the contact person)
Also, the AMS and perhaps research journals (a special issue
dedicated to his memory?)
