Math in Strange Places
Yonah Biers-Ariel, Rutgers University
Location: GSL
Date & time: Friday, 09 March 2018 at 1:40PM - 2:40PM
Abstract: We all know that people do lots of interesting math in universities like Rutgers (which is one of the many reasons it's a great place to get a PhD). But what about in the White House? Ukrainian nationalist militias? Prime time television? This talk will examine results proved or used in all of these places (and more!). |
