Connections with skew torsion and reducible holonomy

Leander Stecker (Leipzig)

Location:  Hill 705 and on Zoom
Date & time: Tuesday, 30 September 2025 at 11:00AM - 12:00PM

Abstract: The theorems of de Rham and Berger have shaped differential geometry research in the last century. We explore generalizations of these for affine connections in the presence of totally skew-symmetric torsion. I will introduce de Rham type theorems for parallel and closed torsion, their restrictions and potential use in understanding novel geometries.
