Fantastic identities, and where to find them

Matthew Russell: Rutgers University

Location:  Hill 705
Date & time: Thursday, 23 February 2017 at 5:00PM - 5:11PM

In this talk, I will present a veritable cornucopia of new partition identities discovered over the past calendar year. Some of these have proofs, some are still conjectures; some should break new ground in the study of affine Lie algebra; all were discovered with the use of computers (in a surprising variety of ways).

This is based on joint work in a handful of different groups, including with Terence Coelho and Jongwon Kim, with Shashank Kanade and Debajyoti Nandi, and with Shashank Kanade.
