Location:  Hill 425
Date & time: Wednesday, 07 February 2018 at 2:00PM - 3:00PM

Abstract:  Cartwright-Steger surface is an algebraic surface of general type which appeared in the study of fake projective planes. I will describe the technique that allowed us to find equations of it, in its bicanonical embedding.

This is a joint work with Sai Kee Yeung.
