On the static spacetime of a point charge, assuming the Bopp-Lande-Thomas-Podolsky law of the electromagnetic vacuum

Abstract: After very briefly reminding everyone of the BLTP formulation of electromagnetism coupled to gravity, the talk will focus on the search for a physically meaningful (finite energy, mildly singular) spacetime that, in this formalism, corresponds to a charged, static particle. We discuss how the field equations can be reduced to a nonsingular autonomous system of 4 ODE's, how one could use math software to verify that solutions should exist (which is the current stage of the work) and how one could rigorously prove their existence.
