Abstract:  A one-dimensional chain of harmonic oscillators, with randomly chosen frequencies,  and connected by anharmonic springs is considered. Heat transport in this disordered interacting system is studied. In the absence of the nonlinear couplings, the system has zero thermal conductivity. We investigate how this changes as one switches on the coupling.   Numerical results of thermal conductivity from non-equilibrium steady state studies  will be presented. In particular we address the question of the temperature dependence of the thermal conductivity, at low temperatures. Some interesting features related to the nature of finite-size effects and their  dependence on the strengths of disorder  and interactions will be discussed.
