Non-integrable dynamics: quantitative results

Jozsef Beck - Rutgers University

Location:  Hill 705
Date & time: Thursday, 19 September 2019 at 12:00PM - 1:00PM

Abstract:  I almost completed a book with the same title--joint work with my Ph.D. students Michael Donders and  Yuxuan Yang-- and I plan to talk about some of the most interesting results in the book. Of course the main goal is to justify the claim that  Dynamical Systems is more than a qualitative theory: one can prove plenty of interesting and difficult results about the quantitative behavior. Well, at least for some infinite classes of systems.
