Although G2-Manifolds themselves are not complex, the study of these spaces makes many interesting connections with complex geometry. One setting in which such connections are quite apparent is in the context of dimensional reductions of geometric flows of G2-Structures. I'll review what is known in specific contexts where flows of G2-Structures make direct contact with Calabi-Yau geometry, as well as closely-related geometries such as those of SU(3)-Structures with torsion and Sasakian geometry.
