Mean curvature flow with multiplicity 2 convergence

Location:  Hill-705
Date & time: Tuesday, 23 January 2024 at 2:50PM - 3:50PM

Mean curvature flow (MCF) has been widely studied in recent decades, and higher multiplicity convergence is an important topic in the study of MCF. In this talk, we present an example of an immortal MCF that converges to a plane with multiplicity \(2\). Additionally, we will compare our example with some recent developments on the multiplicity one conjecture, and the min-max theory. This is based on joint work with Ao Sun.
