DESCRIPTION:Abstract: G2-manifolds are compact, Ricci-flat manifolds in dimension 7. G2
 -instantons are certain interesting principal bundle connections on G2-mani
 folds. The first manifold examples were constructed by Joyce, the first ins
 tanton examples by Walpuski. I will explain the manifold construction and t
 he instanton construction. In the beginning I will introduce G2-geometry, n
 o prior knowledge of G2 needed! Time permitting, I will explain the weighte
 d Hölder norms that have since been applied in several other gluing constru
 ctions, for example several generalisations of these G2-constructions which
