SUMMARY:Super Multivariate Krawtchouk Polynomials via Lie Superalgebras
LOCATION:Hill 705
DESCRIPTION:Krawtchouk polynomials constitute a family of orthogonal polynomials with a
pplications in probability theory. In 2012, Iliev gave a Lie-theoretic inte
rpretation of the multivariate Krawtchouk polynomials using certain represe
ntations of the Lie algebra sl_n. In this talk, we will present a superizat
ion of this interpretation, introduce super Krawtchouk polynomials with ant
icommuting variables, and explore their connection with zonal spherical fun
ctions on oriented Grassmannians. This is a joint work in progress with Pla
 men Iliev.\n
