SUMMARY:Accelerating Electronic Structure and Quantum Chemistry Simulations with AI-Hardware.
LOCATION:Hill 705
DESCRIPTION:Modern high-performance computing is being reshaped by novel hardware archi
tectures, particularly those developed for AI, offering unprecedented perfo
rmance. Effectively using these systems for scientific workloads, however,
often requires redesigning the underlying physics, algorithms, and data str
uctures, as well as adapting existing methods to better align with these ar
chitectures. In this talk, we present our efforts to apply emerging AI hard
ware to non-AI workloads, specifically quantum chemistry and electronic str
ucture calculations, and showcase our significant performance gains.\n
