Herman LEGRANGE was born on Augest 8,1831 in Prussia. In April, 1861 he married Jane VIctoria Davis (Mar. 25- Aug.4 1908) daughter of Benjamin Michael Davis and Nancy Benjamin Polack in Manhattan, NY.
Herman was a agent, publisher and teacher. He lived in the US for 55 years and was intellegent and very highly educated. For a short time he was a bank officer and when it went out of buisness was when he became a publisher,teacher and agent. As well as this he was a tuter for Harvard students.
In 1850 he ran to California to try to get some gold in the gold rush. He was a member of the Pioneers of 49 club. He died on July 8, 1905 at 10 am. Herman and Jane (b. Davis) Legrange's children are:
