Abstract:  I will talk about some fundamental geometric problems where PDE plays a decisive role.  Our interest will be both on optimal structures, like harmonic functions or minimal surfaces, and on evolving geometric structures such as the heat equation, mean curvature flows and Ricci flows.  The interaction between geometry and analysis goes in both directions.  The talks will be aimed at a general audience.
