Title: "Loop spaces and representations"

Abstract: The relation between topology of the loop space of a compact Lie group and representation theory has a long and rich history, a classical celebrated theorem there is the geometric Satake isomorphism which is the cornerstone of geometric Langlands duality. I will talk about new results of this sort, with an emphasis on representation theory over fields of positive characteristic. [Prerequisites in topology are limited to cohomology of a topological space, those in Lie theory to the definition of an enveloping algebra].
