Asymptotics on the hypercube

Jeffry Kahn - Rutgers University

Location:  Hill 705
Date & time: Thursday, 02 May 2019 at 12:00PM - 1:00PM

Abstract:  I'll discuss a few counting problems on the Hamming cube (that is, binary strings of a given length with the natural graph structure) for which we can give precise asymptotics.  Some of these may be thought of as counterparts of phase coexistence questions for well-studied statistical physics models.
